So a lady calls – her MacBook Pro suddenly was not working!
She has no back up and all her pictures, and documents, and videos, etc. are gone!
She searched for MAC REPAIR NEAR ME IN AUSTIN and found MacDoctors, so we swooped in to the rescue!
MacDoctors performs onsite, in-home service at no extra cost, so right there at her dining room table we quickly ascertained that her hard drive was failing.
The good news was that we swapped the old, failing hard drive with a new, 7200 RPM 1TB sweetie and we were able to transfer ALL her data from the failing drive, so she was soon back up and running, as if it was all just a bad dream…
The BAD NEWS (for us) was this: After opening the machine, we were greeted by the remnants of many liquid spills- chocolate milk, juice, coffee, …you name it.
And particles of food.
And crumbs.
And dirt, and dust.
And A LOT of unidentifiable squishy stuff…
AND BUGS!!!
Tons of dead roaches all over the machine.
Big ones.
Little ones.
Babies.
Carcasses galore.
Have we mentioned that we hate bugs?
It was not fun but we were able to perfectly clean it all out, remove the yuck, blow out all the dust and dirt, and made the machine and its owner happy again.
